·Project overview
A new full bathroom is being built in the former-bedroom space at 4614 Mineral Point Rd. Footprint 16'-5" × 6'-8". Layout reads as a long galley: freestanding tub on the left, toilet in the middle, vanity to the right of the toilet, doorway entry from bottom-right. Two windows. This is Phase 1 of a sequential two-phase project — Phase 2 is the existing full bathroom adjacent to this one, to be remodeled later as a separate engagement.
The one locked decision
Plumbing trim will be Kohler, matched to the three rough-ins already installed. Everything else — finish family, Kohler line selection, tub, vanity, tile, sconces, mirror, accessories — remains open.
| Already in the wall or floor | What the visible trim must mate with |
|---|---|
| Floor-mount tub filler mounting block | Kohler K-97339-NA — accepts any Kohler floor-mount tub filler |
| Shower pressure-balancing valve | Kohler K-8300-KS-NA Rite-Temp — accepts any Kohler Rite-Temp Trim line |
| Shower 3-way diverter valve | Kohler K-737-K-NA MasterShower — accepts any Kohler MasterShower transfer trim |
Working direction = Vibrant Brushed Bronze in the Kohler Occasion family. Starting point, not a final selection.
1.Tile — Shower walls
Selected at ProSource — 2026-05-28 (Denise Adler). Glazzio glass tile, Popsicle Collection, color BLONC (white). Elongated wave-form glass tile — quiet white, reflective, plays light against the matte fishscale-era softness the early candidates carried. (The earlier fishscale candidates — Sarina, Parry, Feathers — are retired.)

2.Tile — Shower floor
Selected at ProSource — 2026-05-28. Arabesque / lantern-form marble mosaic — warm white field with restrained gold-and-taupe veining. Pairs cleanly with the Vibrant Brushed Bronze trim line. (The Nest Tile Calacatta Gold Penny Round candidate is retired.)

3.Tile — Bath floor
Selected at ProSource — 2026-05-28. Dorian Honed porcelain — Calacatta-look field, soft warm-gold and taupe veining, honed (matte) finish. Available in 12×12, 12×24, 24×24, 24×48, 36×36 — picking the rectangle for the floor. Same family runs on the bath walls in Section 4 with the finish-only contrast. (Marbella Perla + Luxe Sand candidates retired.)

4.Tile — Bath walls (same tile as floor — glossy finish)
Strategy: use the same tile on bath walls as on the bath floor — but specify the glossy / polished finish on the walls while the floor stays matte.
Finish strategy — matte on floor, glossy on walls
| Surface | Finish | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Bath floor | Matte | Slip-resistant under bare feet. Hides water spots and soap film. Reads quieter as the largest visual surface. |
| Bath walls | Glossy / polished | Bounces light around the room. Adds dimension and depth. Easier to wipe down (less porous). Lifts the eye upward. |
| Vanity wall — tile height | Floor to ceiling | On the vanity wall only, the glossy tile runs all the way to the ceiling — not stopped at backsplash or wainscot height. Creates the architectural moment behind the vanity + mirror. Other walls follow normal wainscot logic. |
| Tile body | Same product line and color across both surfaces — visual continuity from floor to wall, with the finish change as the only contrast. See Section 3 for the floor product (currently: Dorian Honed porcelain). Walls run the polished/glossy variant of the same family — confirm availability with Denise. | |
5.Vanity (white, symmetric, drawers both sides, no legs)
Direction: floor-mounted *(kick base, no exposed legs or feet)*, white finish, single sink centered, drawers flanking both sides — symmetric layout. Vibrant Brushed Bronze hardware.
Read this carefully: the direction above is structural only — symmetry + no exposed legs. It is NOT a style-register commitment. Modern flat-panel and traditional / transitional / classic shaker faces are all in scope, so long as the structure holds. The cards below are direction-illustrations, not design-inspired picks.
Vanity spec
| Attribute | Spec |
|---|---|
| Mount | Floor-mounted, kick base (no exposed legs or feet — flush to the floor) |
| Color | White (cabinet body) |
| Layout | Single sink centered, symmetric — drawers on both sides of the sink (preferred over door cabinets) |
| Hardware | Vibrant Brushed Bronze pulls / handles — matches the Kohler trim line |
| Style register | Open — traditional, transitional, classic shaker, or modern flat-panel all in scope. Direction is on structure, not style. |
| Width | Single-sink, target 36-48" (confirm against the Phase 1 wall dimension at showroom) |

6.Vanity countertop
Selected at ProSource — 2026-05-28. LG Viatera FORTE quartz — warm white field with fine restrained gray veining. Quartz (engineered stone), so no sealing rituals. Goes on top of the StarMark vanity in Section 5.

7.Mirror (large oval · frameless · beveled)
Direction: large oval mirror, frameless (no trim or surround), beveled edge if possible. Centered above the vanity, flanked by the two wall sconces from Section 8.
Mirror spec
| Attribute | Spec |
|---|---|
| Shape | Oval — pill-shape / capsule, taller than wide |
| Size | Large — scaled to the vanity width (typical: 24-30" W × 36-44" H for a 48" vanity) |
| Frame | Frameless — no metal trim, no wood surround, no painted edge. Clean glass edge. |
| Edge treatment | Beveled if possible — adds a refractive light line around the perimeter. Polished flat edge is the acceptable fallback. |
| Mount | Wall-mounted, hardware concealed behind the mirror. Hung centered above vanity sink. |
| Lighting integration | None built-in — the two sconces (Section 8) flank the mirror. Avoid mirrors with integrated LED halos. |
| Fogless / defrost | Open — if a frameless oval beveled mirror also offers a fogless / anti-fog / defrost feature (electric heating element behind the glass), that's in scope. Adds wall-rough-in for low-voltage power but eliminates the post-shower wipe-down. |

8.Sconces
Two wall sconces flanking the mirror. Champagne bronze finish. Damp-rated.

9.Shower trim + handshower (Kohler, Vibrant Brushed Bronze)
Rite-Temp valve trim + MasterShower transfer trim + handshower. Wired into the installed K-8300 Rite-Temp valve and K-737 MasterShower 3-way diverter rough-ins.

10.Kohler Plumbing — Vanity Faucet · Tub Filler · Bathtub
★ Bea's picks. All Vibrant Brushed Bronze (matches the shower trim) plus the Memoirs freestanding tub. Order via Lauren's F&F.
Vanity sink faucet

Floor-mount tub filler

Freestanding bathtub — three candidates from ProSource
Denise pulled three Kohler freestanding-tub spec sheets — 2026-05-28. K-8332 is the original canon (60" × 34"); K-8333 is the bigger Memoirs sibling (66-1/4" × 36-1/2"); K-25165 is a different line (Evok, 66" × 30"). All three fit the 6'-8" (80") width with side clearance to spare; trade-off is footprint × soaking depth × silhouette.

Side-by-side
| Tub | Footprint (L × W) | Soaking depth | Silhouette |
|---|---|---|---|
| K-8332 Memoirs | 59-11/16" × 34" | 17-7/16" | Traditional pedestal — the original canon pick |
| K-8333 Memoirs | 66-1/4" × 36-1/2" | 17-7/8" | Same Memoirs pedestal, scaled up — more generous in the room |
| K-25165 Evok | 66" × 30" | 17" | Modern oval — narrower, cleaner read against StarMark + bronze |
11.Toilet (Kohler)
Tall (comfort-height) two-piece, round-front, 1.28 GPF. Round-front chosen over elongated for the depth savings in a 6'-8" wide bath.

12.Bath accessories
Coordinated set: Kohler Artifacts in Vibrant Brushed Bronze for the towel bars + TP holder, plus a heated towel bar (different category — Amba is the canonical brand).

·Floor Plan
Current Guest Bath floor plan (revision 5.26). Phase 1 = the new full bathroom in the former-bedroom space (left + center). Phase 2 (later) = the existing bathroom indicated to the right.
·Legacy Mood Boards (old iterations)
Two earlier mood board iterations. Included here for reference only — the current direction lives in sections 1-13 above. These predate Bea's direction document and the installed Kohler rough-ins.
